How it all started
We designed and refined our own mapping process while exploring mountains in the Caucasus on board of the Transcaucasian Expedition; pretty much the only maps available were old scans of Soviet topo maps, so we figured our process could be used to also create maps that other hikers and travellers would need and enjoy.
Our Cartographic Process
We’ve developed our unique new process to create maps. Open Source & Open Data at its core, and in close collaboration with local outdoor organizations. Transcaucasian Trail (TCT) is our main partner, as well as a great project building a massive trail network you will one day want to go hike.
